RK Nagar By poll voting continues

Chennai Dec 21: The voting for bypoll election in Rk Nagar is underway. Currently, the bypoll has become prestigious because it is the constituency of former and late chief minister Jayalalitha.

Earlier rumors have erupted that the election was called off but the EC had rejected the rumors and urged the voters to participate in the elections.

Counting of votes will be held on December 24.

Currently, AIADMK, DMK, TTV Dinakaran are contesting in the election.Earlier the EC had rejected the nominations of Actor Vishal and Jaya Deepakaumar the neice of the Former CM.

The poll was earlier scheduled for April 12 but was canceled following allegations that sums of money were distributed in a vote-for-cash scam.
