Shops in Maharastra to be opened 24/7

Mumbai Dec 20: In a move to ensure that more people get employment the Maharastra Government has notified the Maharashtra Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Service Condition) Act, 2017.Earlier the Assembly in August has passed the bill to ensure that shops remain open 24 hours. According to the bill passed

# All shops can be open for 24 /7 365 days
# All shops must give workers a one day leave
# ACT applicable to hotels, restaurants, and malls
# Bars, Pubs, discotheques, wine shops are excluded from the Act
# All shops just need to register Online

Earlier the Central Government had said that it would urge states to law to ensure more people get employment.
