Empty Delhi Metro trail run ended in accident

New Delhi, Dec 19: Delhi Metro Train which was to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke through a boundary while on trail.

The empty metro train ran through a boundary wall at the Kalindi Kunj Station , a DMRC official said. The inauguration is scheduled for December 25.

"The trial run of the train was on and it was at very low speed. There were no casualties," according to the official.

The front portion of the metro train and a stretch of the depot's boundary wall was damaged, he said.
