Congress Temple strategy backfired

Gujarat Dec 18: The counting for Gujarat Assembly elections have begun and the trends show that BJP is leading in Gujarat.

Experts have said that the religious stand taken by Congress party had not benefited them .Earlier Congress President Rahul Gandhi has declared himself as janeudhari Hindu and he is a shiv bakth. He had visited many temples .

Sources said that the remarks made by their party leaders in supreme court regarding the Ram Mandir issue has also backfired.

Speaking to media BJP Minister Smriti Irani has said that "we have won as people voted for development. Traders have voted us even though there is some displeasure against GST and we would fix this in coming days ."

And she said that "it is not correct to alleged that EVMs are rigged as they have won the Punjab municipal elections."
