WTC Childrens Literature Books launched

Hyderabad Dec 17: The World Telugu Conference began on Friday and the Second day on Saturday has also discussed many issues.However, the Importance of Children Literature was also discussed.

A session on Children's literature took place at Ravindra Bharathi yesterday.Many speakers have spoken about various aspects of Bala Sahithyam in Telugu and launched various books on children’s literature.

Pillalamarri Ramu Head of Telugu Department, University of Hyderabad has said that " as children are our future, children's literature plays a key role in the upbringing of a child. At an age where our mother tongue was facing serious threats, encouraging child literature would help in preserving our language."

Director of National Book Trust, Pattipaka Mohan has said that "a record number of 36 books on child literature were released from Telangana after the State formation. "

Aitha Chandraiah spoke, "In ordinary tales, only human characters have a voice, unlike child tales where every element of nature speaks."
