YSRCP MP Vijay sai Reddy Introduces Right to Health bill in RS

New Delhi Dec 17: YSR Congress leader and Rajyasabha MP Y Vijay sai Reddy had introduced a private members bill in the Rajya Sabha. He had introduced a bill to amend the Constitution to ensure that a new Fundamental Right 'Right to Health' is incorporated the constitution.

The Bill Aims to ensure that People have the right to avail health protection services free of cost in the country similar to Fundamental Right to Education.

The bill also states that "The state shall provide a system of health protection to all citizens, including prevention, treatment, and control of diseases and access to essential medicines, the bill proposes.All citizens should also have access to basic health services, emergency medical treatment, and mental health care."

The Bill was introduced in the house by the member amid the uproar of Congress and other members on Friday.Sources said that The bill may be taken up for discussion in the upcoming sessions when the bill is picked up for discussion.
