Films Releases to be stopped from March 1 2018

Hyderabad Dec 16: In a move to protest against the Monopolization of Digital service Providers in Theatres the Telugu Film Producer's Council (TFPC) has decided not to release any movie from March 1, 2018, and urged the producers and directors to stop the shootings or prepone them.

Recently the issue was highlighted by famous producer D Suresh Babu in a press conference and said that "currently the distributors and theatre owners are facing a lot of problems with the monopolization of Digital Service providers (DSP) so we have decided to fight against it in a big way".

TFPC sources said that "DSPS such as UFO, Qube, PXD, and Scrabble are charging high rents from theatre owners for showcasing the movies and we have urged them to attend the meetings to resolve the issues but they have not responded so we have taken this decision".

However many producers hope that this issue would be resolved as soon as possible because many big budgets films are expected to be released during summer so that they won't be at a loss.
