Mild Earthquake in Indonesia

Jakarta Dec 16: A major earthquake has shaken the Indonesia on Saturday. Sources said 2 people dead and severely damaged dozens of homes near the epicenter. The magnitude of the Earthquake was recorded as 6.5 on Richter scale.

The earthquake has taken at 11.47 PM and was felt across the island, including about 200 kilometers (124 miles) away in the capital Jakarta.U.S. Geological Survey said that "The earthquake was about 91 kilometers (56 miles) deep and located just inland."

Many people have run from home and said that the felt tremors in the locations. Many hospitals and houses were damaged due to the earthquake. Earlier Tsunami warning was issued but later it was removed as the officials declared the situation is safe.
