Cabinet Approves special package for Leather and Footwear sector

New Delhi Dec 15: The union cabinet under the chairmanship of PM Modi had taken some crucial decisions. The decisions were briefed to the media by law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Features of the package.

# Rs 2600 cr package for next 3 year.
# 3.24 lakh jobs
# Rs 15000 would be paid for unemployed person to upgrade his skill
# RS 5000 would be paid for workers to upgrade their skills
# RS 2 lakh would be given to persons who become trainers to other people
# 4.28 lakh unemployed would be upgrading their skills
# 75000 existing employees would upgrade their skills.
# Mega leather and footwear Accessory Clusters would be set up
