Cricketers salaries to be doubled

Mumbai Dec 15: BCCI may soon announce good news for Indian cricketers. Sources said that the Cricket player salaries would be increased by 100 % . Reports have emerged that BCCI had agreed to allocate RS 200 crore for this purpose in the next season.

Sources said that "CoA is close to working out the proportion to be given to the senior and junior teams. This formula will be presented to BCCI's general body for ratification .Senior cricketers are certainly going to get a 100% raise and even domestic players would get the same percentage increase ."



Earlier team captain Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and coach Ravi Shastri had already met BCCI officials and demanded a pay hike and COA Vinod Rai had Agreed to their demands and said that there would be hiked but he didn't specify the exact amount.

Former batsmen Sourav Ganguly had also pitched for the increase in salary for domestic cricketers who play in Ranji trophies and other
formats and the board has also agreed. Test cricketers who don't play T20s would also be compensated according to the new formula.
