Telangana to operate 550 RTC buses for World Telugu Conference

Hyderabad, Dec 13: The Telangana government will be arranging 550 RTC buses from districts for the people to attend the World Telugu Conference (WTC).

SP Singh, TS chief secretary, on Tuesday held a video conference with the district collectors on the WTC arrangements and directed them to arrange the transport facility from December 15 to December 19.

He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar wanted people from all parts of the state to attend the inaugural and concluding meetings.

He told the collectors from Siddipet, Warangal (urban and rural) and Karimnagar districts to arrange 30 buses. Sangareddy, Medak, Yadadri, Jan-gaon, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, and Nizamabad districts will set aside 20 buses and Kama-reddy district will have 15 buses. Vikarabad and Khammam districts will ply 10 buses and the remaining districts will arrange five buses.

The chief secretary has directed the collectors to coordinate with the local police and the Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda police commissioners.

He also asked them to appoint nodal officers for this purpose. The collectors were told to conduct meetings with education, transport and police officials.

Meanwhile, Omar Jaleel, secretary of minorities department, told the collectors that the government has sent gift packs to all districts on the occasion of the Christmas.
