High Court dismisses petition against APPSC Group-2 exam

Hyderabad, Dec 12: The Common division bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice M. Ganga Rao dismissed the cases filed by several candidates who complained of irregularities in the examinations conducted by the AP Public Service Commission (APPSC) for filling 982 Group-2 posts.

The candidates complained that some were permitted to write the examination for a longer duration in some centers. The written test was conducted at 651 computer centers all over the State. Interview call letters have also been sent.

The bench said that the allegations pertain to only four centers and based upon such alleged irregularities the whole process need not be stopped, and dismissed the pleas of the petitioners.

The High Court's verdict facilitates the declaration of Group-II examination results in a few days, while the APPSC has just released the final key for Group-III (Panchayat Secretary) test.
