High Court grants temporary relief for Kancha Ilaiah

Hyderabad, Dec 12: The Hyderabad High Court Justice M. Satyanarayana Murthy has granted limited relief to Kancha Ilaiah on Monday by dispensing with his personal appearance before Hyderabad, at Neredmet of Hyderabad city in a criminal case filed against him arising out of the book on trading community. The stay of further proceedings will be in force for a month.

The judge was dealing with a petition by Prof. Ilaiah, who requested the court to quash the criminal proceedings pending against him in the Malkajgiri police station.

The Malkajgiri police on October 11, 2017, registered a case against Dr. Ilaiah based on a complaint from K. Nagaraju, a student. The complainant was aggrieved by the recent booklet published by the writer on Vysya community.
