CM KCR: 24x7 power supply to Agri sector from Jan 1

Hyderabad, Dec 11: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced that the 24x7 hours' power will be supplied to the agriculture sector from January 1 next year.

Mr. Rao held a lengthy review meeting on the Kaleswaram project works at Pragati Bhavan here on Saturday night.

Conveying special thanks to Electricity organization, the Chief Minister said, "We will also provide 24x7 quality power to all sectors."

'In solar power generation, we are number one in the country," he said as on date 3000 MW solar power generated and will be added another 500 MW solar power by next month.

The arrangements made by the electricity department for supplying adequate power to the Lift Irrigation projects is commendable.



The Electricity Department is completing the works one month ahead of the schedule, he said.

Transco and Genco CMD, Prabhakar Rao and other officials are working hard to give benefits to the state.

"For this special thanks and congratulations to the electricity department and I am satisfied with the work being done by the electricity department," the CM added.
