AP Govt to spend Rs. 12,380 crore for lands of SC,STs

Vijayawada, Dec 10: Andhra Pradesh SC and ST Commission Chairman Karem Sivaji on Saturday said that the State government targeted to spend Rs. 12,380 crore for land purchasing scheme for the SC and ST families.
While speaking to media persons after interacting with the representatives of the SC and ST associations here, he said that nearly Rs. 3,000 crore would be spent under the land purchasing scheme for the STs, providing them land as well as house.
"A study on the economic status of the SC and ST families is in full swing. The commission is focussing on addressing incidents of atrocity against the SC and STs," Mr. Sivaji said.
