Two women theft a necklace in Lalitha Jewellery

Hyderabad, Dec 10: In a daring robbery like movie plots, two women clad in burqa allegedly robbed a gold chain worth Rs 6 lakh from Lalitha Jewellery at Punjagutta here. Unconfirmed reports said the women managed to replace the original chain with a duplicate one as well.

The incident is believed to have happened last Sunday, with the women coming to the store posing as customers. They are said to have diverted the attention of the salespersons on the pretext of checking various designs and in the process, stole the chain.

The incident came to light on Friday when the staff examined the surveillance camera footage in the shop. A case was booked and efforts are on to trace the two women.
