Telangana plans to set up Coaching Centers

Hyderabad, Dec 09: The Telangana Govt is planning to set up coaching centers for students during summer vacation, who are preparing for competitive exams.

During next summer vacation, students appearing for competitive examinations can look forward to quality coaching classes as the State government is establishing coaching centers.

Efforts are being made to set up 20 exclusive coaching centers for boys and girls in the erstwhile 10 districts.

Deputy Chief Minister an Education Minister Kadiam Srihari, who held a meeting with principals of government junior colleges here on Friday, said the government was also planning to provide food and accommodation and appealed them to hold coaching classes voluntarily.

For the benefit of students in rural areas, the Minister said efforts were being made to provide free bus and mid-day meal facilities and it would be taken up with Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Stating that government had spent Rs 275 crore for providing basic amenities in the government junior colleges, the Minister asked the principals to increase students' enrolment to two lakh in the academic year.
