Gujarat First phase polling :10 % of polling reported

Gujarat Dec 9: The voting for the first phase of the polls for the assembly elections in the Gujarat has begun on Saturday and Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani and his wife Anjali Rupani have cast their wife. Currently the polls are being held for 89 constituencies out of 192. The Areas include Kutch, Saurashtra and south Gujarat.

Reports state that currently, 10-15 % of voters have cast their polls. There were reports that there were some technical faults in the EVMs and the election commission has replaced them. EC has said that the polling has been smooth and large number of police officials have been deployed.Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel has also cast his vote.
