Jet Airways Profit plunge by 91 % in Q2

Mumbai Dec 8: Private Airline JeyAirways has declared its quarterly results and the company reported a 91 % drop in profit .Currently, the profit of the company stands at Rs 49.63 crore for the three months to September. The Naresh Goyal-owned private carrier had posted a net profit of Rs 549.02 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Jet Airways in a Regulatory filing has said that "Total sales also declined to Rs 5,758.18 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 5,772.79 crore in the previous fiscal.The non-aeronautical revenue, came down by 59 percent to Rs 131.57 crore in the reporting quarter from Rs 319.58 crore in the year-ago period"

The company has said that "the fall in other income to nil sales from a share of profit and no income from the sale and leaseback of aircraft in the reporting quarter."
