AP CM :DCI wouldnt be privatized

Vizag Dec 8: Andhra Pradesh Cheif Minister Chandra Babu Naidu had met the employees who were protesting the central Governments decision to disinvest the Dredging Corporation of India and Assured them that DCI would not be privatized.

to give away 200 acres of land for DCI Training Institute in connection with the Rs 800 crore Antarvedi project, the Centre had not given clearance to the project."

Earlier the delegation of employees had met the CM and informed him that "privatization of DCI would be detrimental to the interests of the
State and also the development of ports besides exposing to security risk. It would also lead to unforeseen financial burden with
foreign players entering the dredging sector in place of DCI."
