Hyderabad Metro Rail extension to Raidurg soon

Hyderabad Dec 8: In a move to ensure that the remaining works of the metro in Corridor 3 i.e Ameerpet-Hitech city are completed as per schedule Hyderabad Metro rail MD NVS Reddy along with other officials have inspected the work and ordered that the extension works of hitech city- Raidurg must be started within a week.

Reddy has Reddy first resolved the issues pertaining to the remaining five pillars in Yousufguda. He asked engineers to take up the construction of pillars in Yousufguda initially on the left-hand side where the five-storied Hero Honda building is under demolition.

He has also urged the engineers to complete the remaining 21 spans of the viaduct in Yousufguda Basti, Krishnanagar Transtroy building and Sirisampada Apartments in Jubilee Hills to be completed by January end.



Reddy has also urged the L & T to complete the track, electrical traction and signaling works by June end.

Metro MD has also directed the Town Planning, Police and Land Acquisition wings of HMRL to facilitate construction of the remaining few entry/exit points of Peddamma temple, Madhapur, and Durgam Cheruvu Metro stations.

Finally, he urged the L & T to complete the extension of Hitech city-Raidurg route (1.5 Km) in 2 years. The extension works involve the erection of 49 pillars,1.5 km of the viaduct and the Raidurg Metro terminal station.
