CM KCR inspects kaleswaram project, urges officers to stick to deadline

Hyderabad Dec 7: In a move to ensure that Telangana Dream project Kaleshwaram works are completed on time CM KCR has visited the project site in Karimnagar district.The Chief Minister has inspected Tupakulagudem Barrage works, Medigadda, Sundilla, and Annaram Barrage and pump house work.

However, CM was unhappy with the slow pace of works at Tupakulagudem Barrage and directed the officials concerned to speed up the project works in stipulated time.



The government has fixed June 2018 as the deadline for the project and under the irrigation scheme Irrigation facilities would be provided to 18 lack acres in 13 districts and would also bring another 18 lakh acres under farming using the Godavari water.

The project has received all major clearances and few more clearances are expected by year-end and under this project Godavari water would be power lifted and major underground tunnels are being constructed in some areas.
