Palestine Rejects USA presidents declaration

Palestine Dec 7: Palestine has rejected the united states president declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and said that it would lead to blockage of the peace process.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has said that "Jerusalem was the eternal capital of the State of Palestine and that Trump's move was tantamount to the United States abdicating its role as a peace mediator."



Palestinian Islamist group Hamas has said that "Trump had committed a flagrant aggression against the Palestinian people and has urged Arabs and Muslims to undermine U.S. interests in the region and to shun Israel".

Earlier Israel has captured eastern Jerusalem in 1967 war however Palestine has claimed the territory for a separate state.

Earlier US president Donald Trump has declared Jerusalem as the Israel capital and ordered to shift the Embassy to the new capital and hoped that his declaration would pave way for a peaceful settlement between Israel and Palestine.
