India says Its stand independent on Palestine

New Delhi Dec 7: India has reacted to the USA president declaration on Jerusalem and said that country's position on Palestine is independent, consistent and not determined by any third country.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that "India's position on Palestine is independent and consistent. It is shaped by our views and interests, and not determined by any third country."

He made the above remarks while responding to a question regarding India's reaction to US presidents recent declaration.



earlier had said that India would support the peaceful sttlement
between Israel and Palestine and PM Modi for the first time had
visited Israel in July 2017.

Earlier US president Donald Trump has declared Jerusalem as the Israel capital and ordered to shift the Embassy to the new capital and hoped that his declaration would pave way for a peaceful settlement between Israel and Palestine.
