PM Modi emerges as the second most 'tweeted about world leader'

Washington DEC 6: In yet another global recognition for Indian Prime Minister the microblogging site Twitter on Tuesday has said that "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the most tweeted about world leader after U.S. President Donald Trump in 2017."

Twitter has also released the topmost liked tweets and said that "Two postings of former U.S. President Barack Obama were among the top three most-liked tweets of 2017."

The tweet by Carter Wilkerson "Help me please. a man needs his nuggs" which was retweeted 3.6 million times was the most retweeted tweet of this year.

Twitter said, "Mr. Trump with 44.1 million followers and Mr. Modi with 37.5 million followers are respectively the first and second 'most tweeted about world leaders' for the year 2017."

Twitter India has tweeted that "Congrats to @narendramodi who tops the most followed list on Twitter in India with 37.5 million followers.Here's the ten most followed Indians on Twitter this year."
