BJP questions Rahul Gandhi stand on Ram Mandir issue

New Delhi Dec 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party has questioned Congress over their stand in Ram Mandir and accused the party of having double standards. BJP president Amit Shah has said that "the Congress should clarify the statement made by senior lawyer Kapil Sibal for delaying the hearing of Ayodhya case post-2019 general elections."

Shah has also said that "Nehru-Gandhi scion is visiting temples in Gujarat but he must clear stand on Ram Janmabhoomi dispute."

Earlier Congres leader and lawyer Kapil Sibal appearing for the Sunni Waqf board in Supreme court has argued that the final hearing must be heard after July 2019 as it is a sensitive issue and its verdict would have social and political effects".

However, the court has rejected his proposal and ordered that the final hearing would take place from Feb 8, 2018.

Many people have reacted to the court proceedings and said that Congress had exposed itself by trying to support Muslims in Ayodhya temple and claiming Hindus in Gujarat.
