Hyderabad Metro to introduce Personalised smart cards

Hyderabad Dec 5: In a move to encourage more passengers travel in Metro rail The Hyderabad Metro Rail Authorities are planning to launch personalized smart cards. Officials said that these cards would be launched as the public have given their feedback that these cards are unsafe and they can be stolen easy and misused.

Officials have said that "The personalized smart cards will provide the passengers with the option of getting their pictures, names and other details embossed.Each passenger will have a unique smart card and they can use different pictures on the cards."

These cards can also be used for banking, and other facilities and the balance amount will be refunded if the card is lost or stolen.
The customer can also block the card similar to ATM .however these facilities are unavailable in Nebula smart cards which are being issued currently.

Further details regarding the date of issue and price have not been revealed
