Rs 35 Lakh worth Ornaments robbed from Doctor's House

Eluru Andra Pradesh Dec 5: In a drastic incident a Robbery took place in doctors house. Sources said that a thief has stolen RS 35 lakh worth ornaments from his house.

Police have said that " Dr. Velagala Tirumala Srinivasa Reddy, an ophthalmologist, and his wife Bhuvanasri, a gynecologist are running Geetha hospital in Tanuku town.The couple is residing in the upstairs of the hospital. On Saturday, the doctor along with family members went to Tirupati."

"On Sunday night, a masked man entered the house of Dr. Srinivasa Reddy by break opening the main door on the first floor and decamped with Rs 50,000 cash and Rs 35 lakh worth of ornaments and silver articles from the chest of the house." police said.

Police suspect that the crime might be handy work of known persons. They have also searched CCTV footages and booked a case an the investigation is on.Further details awaited.
