Aadhar- Mobile SIM Card deadline Feb 6 2018

New Delhi Dec 3: Nowadays Aadhar has been mandatory for most of the services and the government has issued various deadlines to link Aadhar with various services and schemes. The deadline for reverification of mobile sims is Feb 6, 2018.

Earlier the Supreme court on Feb 6, 2017, has ordered all the telecom operators to reverify the sim cards using Aadhaar-based e-KYC and urged the operators to complete this process by 1 year. It has also become mandatory to provide Aadhaar details while buying new mobile SIM connections.

Recently the UIDAI has agreed for Aadhar-sim verification based on OTP so that customers don't visit the operator's stores and also released guidelines for NRIs and senior citizens who don't have Aadhar cards.

Many operators have said that SIM Cards would be deactivated if the verification has not been completed by the deadline and have already sent messages to their customers.
