BJP chief Laxman fires on TRS Govt over false promises

Hyderabad, Dec 2: The Telangana BJP President Dr. K Laxman on Friday charged that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) government, led by K Chandrasekhar Rao, was jeopardizing the interests of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Class in the state.

Speaking at a meeting organized by Telangana BJP OBC Morch here, Dr. Laxman charged that Telangana Government, which came to power on making false promises to the weaker section, was further adding to the problems and difficulties of these sections.

The Chief Minister had announced that the state government would spend Rs 50,000 crore for SCs and 25,000 crores for BCs during the five years, Dr. Laxman said and added that the government did not allocate and spent such amount.

Dr. Laxman criticized that the state government had allocated Rs 6,000 crore during the last three years and spent only 3,000 crores for BCs.

The government had allocated Rs 1000 crore for Most Backward Class (MBC)in the current budget but not spent even single rupee so far, he said.
