Botsa Satyanarayana: AP CM should explain delay in 'Polavaram' project

Visakhapatnam Dec 1: Andrapradesh Opposition party YSRCP has lamented AP CM on the remarks he made against Polavaram project that center is not cooperating on the project.

Former minister and YSR Congress Party leader Botsa Satyanarayana along with other leaders had spoken about the issue with media and has said that "The Centre has to build Polavaram under the bifurcation agreement. But why did Chandrababu take it upon himself the construction of the mega project?."

"Why should he now come out with the cock and bull story that the costs have escalated. Why did he take NABARD loan? Was it not a burden on the State?" he asked.

Mr. Satyanarayana added that "it was evident that Chandrababu Naidu took over the construction of the project from the Centre only to benefit from the deals with contractors.He also wondered why the Chief Minister was squandering money on mega shows even while the Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu was complaining about financial crunch."

Finally, he has said that delay in Polavaram project is due to the incompetence of the AP Government and demanded an explanation from the CM .
