AP CM finalized Amaravati designs

Amaravati, Nov 30: Finally, Andhra Pradesh government is making a fast move in finalization of designs for the proposed world-class Secretariat building coming up at the state capital Amaravati.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu shortlisted three designs including construction of four towers.These designs were prepared by master architect Norman Foster. The meeting held by CM with CRDA and Amaravathi Development Council preferred the designs of four towers under which CM the peshi will face Polavagu.



The Chief Minister asked the officials he will review progress in the Secretariat construction every fortnight and update the construction activity on online. Chandrababu wanted the completion of seed access road between Venkatapalem and Dondapadu by January 15 next.

It was also finalized the construction of 432 flats at the cost of Rs 632 crore for legislators and bureaucrats, 1968 flats at Rs 866 crore for non gazetted officials and 1400 flats for gazetted and Group D officials at Rs 717 crore will be taken up. All the construction activity will be completed by February 2019.

LBS Zones for farmers who gave away their lands for the capital city will also be developed on the fast track. Jone 1, 2 and 3 works will be completed by November 2020.
