Skype login with Facebook id to end in January, 2018; Microsoft login

Microsoft is pushing for single login like Google and the support for Skype by Facebook login will soon be discontinued. The option is going to be disabled in January 2018.

According to Microsoft this move will help streamline all Skype logins via Microsoft services.

"Using a Microsoft Account will enable you to log in via single sign-in, unlocking all your Microsoft services — including Skype, Office Online, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, and more — in one experience, with just one password" was written on the support page of company.

"Currently, using your Facebook account to sign in to Skype is not supported on Skype for Windows 10, the new Skype for Android and iPhone, and the new Skype for Windows, Mac, and Linux".

If the user does not want to transfer Facebook account then automatically Skype refund will be Credited. Skype number and subscriptions will be cancelled after January 10, 2018.

What should users do now

1)Users should create a new Microsoft account or use existing Microsoft account.

2)Transfer all contacts from the facebook account to Microsoft account.
