PV Sindhu enters semifinals of Hongkong Open

Hong Kong, Nov 25: Indian shuttler P.V. Sindhu has entered the final 4 of the Hong Kong Open Superseries on Friday.

Rio Olympic medalist has defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan by 21-12, 21-19 in a match.

The player has dominated the opponent right from the beginning and gave no choice and utilized the advantage of her height.

Sindhu will now face Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, who defeated Michelle Li of Canada in the quarters.

Earlier, Sindhu defeated Aya Ohori of Japan 21-14, 21-17 in 39 minutes to enter the third round on Thursday.

Meanwhile, other Indian players have exited the tournament as they were defeated in the second round.
