235 killed in deadliest attack at Mosque in Egypt

Egypt Nov 24: A deadliest attack on a Mosque in Egypts's north Sinai region killed 235 people. The militants attacked the Mosque on Friday, detonating a bomb and shooting at people fleeing and ambulances.

It was one of the deadliest attacks in the region’s Islamist insurgency. No group claimed immediate responsibility.

But the attack is assumed to be by Islamic State affiliate in the north.

"They were shooting at people as they left the mosque,", "They were shooting at the ambulances too." eyewitness said.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, a former armed forces commander who presents himself as a bulwark against Islamist militants, convened an emergency meeting with his defence and interior ministers and intelligence chief soon after the attack, the presidency's Facebook page and state television said.
