Parliament Winter session from December 15

New Delhi, November 23: The winter session of Parliament is to start on December 15 and end on January 5, senior government sources said on Wednesday.

The session would likely be held from December 15 till January 5, they said on the condition of anonymity.

The cabinet committee on parliamentary affairs, headed by home minister Rajnath Singh, met here on Wednesday to finalise the schedule.

Finance minister Arun Jaitley told journalists that the session would not overlap with the Gujarat assembly elections and it would be a "regular" session.
