Hong Kong Nov 23 : Indian shuttlers P.V. Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and H.S. Prannoy have outperformed the opponents and advanced to the second round in the Hong Kong open series while P Kashyap and the women's doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and N. Sikki Reddy have exited the tournament after they lost in the opening round of the Hong Kong Open Superseries on Wednesday.
PV Sindhu has defeated Hong Kong's Leung Yuet Yee by 21-18, 21-10 in the women's singles match and has advanced to second round.
Saina Nehwal has registered her win against Denmark's Mette Poulsen by 21-19, 23-21.
In the men's singles, Prannoy moved into the second round after he has won over Hong Kong's Hu Yun by 19-21, 21-17, 21-15
However, P Kashyap has lost to South Korean Lee Dong Keun in the first round of men's singles by 21-15, 9-21, 20-22.
The women's doubles pair of Ashwini and Sikki fought hard but couldn't win against ChinaHuang Dongping and Li Wenmei and the pair lost by 11-21, 21-19, 19-21.
