Train took wrong route, reached Madhya Pradesh instead of Maharashtra

India Nov 22: In a bizzare incident, the passengers of a Maharashtra bound train were in for a shock when the train took the wrong route and even before releasing it travelled 160 km and reached Madhya Pradesh.

The incident was reported on November 20 when Swabhimani Express, specially arranged for 2,500 farmers of the Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee protesting in Delhi, left for Kolhapur in Maharashtra.

The train left the Safdarjung railway station on schedule but, took the wrong route and after travelling 160 km, it reached Banmor in MP.

Even after reaching Madhya Pradesh, the driver was unaware of what has happened and was informed by farmers that the train reached Madhya Pradesh instead of Maharashtra.
