Actor Jagapatibabu took Padayatra, to encourage low budget films

Vijayawada, Nov 21: The Tollywood Senior actor Jagapathi Babu visited Vijayawada on Monday and even walked on the road. He reached the city silently and began walking.

Passersby, who could identify him, were taken by surprise and they tried to take selfies with him. As the word spread, businessmen, workers, and purchasers rounded him off. Clad in a white shirt and dhoti, with white hair and black goggles, he visited the Kaleswararao market center, a busy place in the city.

From there, he started his walk towards Samarangam Chowk in another busy area. From there, he headed to the I Town police station area. He got into his car and disappeared.

Before leaving, he spoke a few words. He said that he started 'Charity Walk' from Vishakapatnam, to promote small budget films. He said he completed 30 years of his film industry life and urged the people to watch small budget films and stay away from piracy.

Piracy will kill film industry and so people should avoid watching movies on pirated CDs, he said. He did not comment about Nandi awards.
