New Delhi Nov 21: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar on Tuesday said that the Parliament winter session would be held soon and a Cabinet Committee meeting will fix the dates.He has also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to hold the winter session.

Addressing the media the Minister added that "We are committed to hold winter Parliament session and in the next couple of days we are going to have cabinet committee meeting on parliamentary affairs and decide the dates."

Earlier the opposition parties blamed the government for delaying the winter session of parliment and they are sabotaging the democracy for state elections. The Congress accused BJP that they are running away to discuss the crucial issues such as effects of demonetization, GST and economic slowdown right ahead of elections fearing their defeat.

Generally, the winter session of Parliament would be held in the third week of November and would continue for 1 month. Sources said that the session would start in the first week of December.
