Hyderabad Metro rails get safety clearance; hurdles cleared

Hyderabad, Nov 21: All decks for the inauguration of Hyderabad Metro rail which would be inaugurated on Nov 28 by Prime Minister Modi. The project got safety clearance for all 30 Km stretch which would be thrown open to the public by month end.

Telangana IT & Municipal Administration Minister KTR has tweeted that "Happy to announce that Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety(CMRS) cleared 10 km from Mettuguda to SR Nagar. All statutory clearances in place now for Hyderabad Metro. All set for launch now".

Earlier the CMRS Ram Kirpal and the team from the Railway Safety Commission have inspected the 10 Km stretch from SR Nagar to Mettuguda and issued a safety certificate yesterday.This certificate is essential to operate the trains.

CMRS team had inspected the civil works, track, viaduct, rolling stock, stations, electrical signaling, train control, telecommunications and other railway systems from Friday to Sunday.

All hurdles crossed

Officials have said that with the issue of certificate all hurdles are cleared and we would focus on completing all minor works which are pending before the inauguration.Earlier safety certificate was issued for Nagole-Mettuguda (8 Km) and Miyapur-SR Nagar (12 km). Officers said that trial runs would be run in two corridors.
