India to play T20 Tri-series in Srilanka in March 2018

New Delhi Nov 18: India and Bangladesh would play a T 20 tri-series with Sri Lanka in March 2018 and BCCI has given nod to the Indian team.The series will be hosted by Srilanka and would mark the 70 th year of Independence of the Country.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has said "that seven T20Is will be played from March 8 to March 20 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and each team is slated to lock horns twice with each other before the summit showdown on March 20 and The Series is titled Nidahas Trophy"

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) CEO Rahul Johri said that "Sri Lanka and Bangladesh's cricket boards are really close to them and, therefore, they didn't think twice when SLC president Thilanga Sumathipala floated the invitation."

Indian cricket team will visit Sri Lanka for the tri-series following their tour to South Africa, which will end on February 24.

India are currently hosting Sri Lanka in a three-match Test series, which will be followed by five-match ODI series and lone T20I.
