Hyderabad Nov 17: The countdown for metro rail has begun and the officials are working at a brisk pace at to complete the pending works. Recently the officials have inspected the ongoing works and reviewed the situation.

Hyderabad Metro to be diasble freindly .They have showcased the different facilities that are provided which can be used by specially abled people(divyang) so that there travel would be safe and comfortable

Facilities

# Ramp - provided at the road level to facilitate wheelchairs up to the lifts.

# Spacious lifts - For easy movability of wheelchairs. Handrails located in the lift would help people and the buttons are also designed in braille so that visually impaired people can also utilise them.



# Tactile strip - provided from the street level till the edge of the platform to guides the blind persons can move by tapping the floor with their sticks.

# sufficient gap between train and platform - A sufficient gap has been provided between train and platform so that wheelchair passengers can easily board the train.

# grab holds: A special lock system in the train so that wheelchair can be locked so that passengers don't accidentally slip.

# special toilet: These laboratories will have grab bars to support them

# Automatic ticket machines and fare collection gates have been designed spaciously.

# Signage and pictograms are designed to help the illiterate people so that they can commute easily

# voice announcements: Voice announcements about the present destination and next destination would help people.

officials hope that these facilities help the disabled to travel comfortably.
