Cabinet lits the ban on exports of pulses, ICDS scheme extended

New Delhi Nov 16: The union cabinet committee of economic Affairs CCEA under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi has taken some crucial decisions.

Exports ban lifted

The cabinet has given a nod to lift the ban on the exports of pulses to other countries as the production has improved.In 2016 around 23 million ton production took place and the government has procured 20 million tons by giving MSP to farmers.Earlier the exports were banned due to the shortage of the pulses.

Extension of ICDS scheme

The integrated child developmental scheme which was expired in April 2017 was extended to 30 Nov 2018.Under this scheme, food is provided at a cheaper rate to children, adolescent girl. The scheme also provides food via Anganwadi centers. A total of Rs 41,000 cr was outlined for the extension of the scheme.
