AB de Villiers unbeaten 50 for 19 balls; assisted by Albie Morkel

AB de Villiers blasted the ground with unbeaten 50 for 19 balls. He was assisted by Albie Morkel in the win with Morkel 41 off 16 balls. Both of them performed extremely well and gained a magnificent eight-wicket win for their team Multiply titans courtesy Duckworth-lewis method over Highveld lions in the Ram Slam Twenty20 encounter at Centurion Park on Sunday.

Due to rain the match was reduced to 15 over a side and the Lions chose to bat. Albie Morkel the right-am pacer finished with figures of 3/12 from three overs.

This was de Villiers’ 38th Twenty20 fifty and his exploits helped the Titans, the defending champions in the Ram Slam Twenty20 tournament, get five points.

South Africa’s next international assignment is a four-day Pink Ball Test against Zimbabwe before they prepare for a major tour by India in January 2018.
