Saad al-Hariri to return; Iran will not interfere in Lebanon Politics

Saad al-Hariri, who resigned as Lebanese prime minister nine days ago again came on TV on Sunday and said that Hariri, he would return to Lebanon within days and held out the possibility he could rescind his resignation if Hezbollah agreed to stay out of regional conflicts such as Yemen.

Lebanon blamed Saudi for keeping Hariri in house arrest and forcing him to resign. Lebanon even said that resignation of Hariri will not be accepted until he returns to Lebanon.

Whereas Riyadh blamed Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah for the resignation, accusing it of hijacking Lebanese politics. Tehran has accused Riyadh and its allies of trying to stoke tension in the Middle East.

The blame game increased tension between two countries and made Saudi Arabia alert it citizens, to get out of Lebanon, due to ongoing crisis.

After Hariri's comment Iran said on Monday that it will not interfere in Lebanon and the comment of Hariri has given hope that he will return soon.
