Saudi Arabia asks its citizens to get out of Lebanon

Saudi Arabia has ordered its citizens to leave Lebanon "as soon as possible", as the tension between the two governments has increased.

"Due to the situations in the Republic of Lebanon, the official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Saudi nationals visiting or residing in Lebanon are asked to leave the country as soon as possible," the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

"The Kingdom advised all citizens not to travel to Lebanon from any other international destinations."

The reason for the tension is disappearance Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri in Saudi Arabia, after he made a shocking statement of resignation in a televised statement out of Saudi Arabia.
