Cinematographer Priyan passed away

Chennai, November 09: cinematographer Priyan passed away due to the massive heart attack on today at his KK Nagar residence.

He worked as an assistant of Balu Mahendra and the serials of Suresh Menon and Rajiv Menon.

He was 53-years-old. Priyan was best known for his collaboration with director Hari and had recently commenced work on Saamy Square, the sequel to 2003 Vikram-starrer Hari. Priyan and Hari had worked together in 13 films and Saamy Square was their 14th outing.

Siddarth took his twitter and said "Kind, professional and extremely hard working cinematographer Priyan is no more. Gone too soon. R.I.P sir. Deepest condolences to his kin."

Keeerthy suresh tweeted, "Heartbroken to know the demise of Priyan Sir DOP ! Can't express my grief in words. May your soul RIP . Strength and power to his family."
