Harish Rao about irrigation Schemes

Hyderabad, November 09: Ever since, after the formation of Telangana State, The State Govt has acquired 21,878 acres for irrigation projects.

In this regard, Telangana Irrigation Minister said that The total land required is 67,010 acres and the rest of the 45,132 acres being acquired.

Speaking in the Assembly on Wednesday, Mr Harish Rao said that the government had taken up eight projects, which are under various stages of execution. These projects included Palamuru-Ranga Reddy and Dindi lift irrigation schemes, Lower Penganga project including the Chanaka-Korata barrage, SRSP Punarjeevan Pathakam, and Sadarmatt Barrage.



The government was also working on the Bhakta Ramadasu, Seetarama and Thummilla lift irrigation schemes.The land is being acquired as per the state government's GO 123 and Centre's Land Acquisition Act, 2013, depending on the choice of farmers.
