Ankita Lokhande to play Jhalkaribai in Queen Of Jhansi movie

Ankita Lokhande will be seen essaying the role of Jhalkaribai in Kangana Ranaut starrer, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, which is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai, who was one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Jhalkaribai was the right hand of Rani Laxmibai. She was married to Puran Singh, one of the soldiers from the Queen’s army.Many even believed she looked like the Queen. They apparently took advantage of her uncanny resemblance with the Queen and used it against the Britishers during the 1857 Mutiny. Historically speaking, it was Jhalkarnibai who saved the Queen from a fatalistic attack once. While we don’t know if that will be shown in the film, it seems as if Ankita has quite a role to play in the film.



She took to her Instagram profile to share a still from the film, thereby revealing her look from the film.
But she shared blurred pic and kept fans wondering about the look.
